Iowa City Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the area of the 1200 block of Baker Street just before 4:30am for multiple 911 calls about gunshots in the area. Arriving police located shell casings belonging to a handgun corroborating the reports of shots fired. No injuries were reported, and no description of a suspect or suspects has been made available.
The incident is being actively investigated by the Department. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Iowa City Police at 319-356-5275. Anyone in the area of the incident with security cameras is being asked to review footage and provide it to police if it can be of help in their investigation.
