IC Police search for leads in Wednesday night shooting incident

Iowa City police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a Wednesday night shooting incident.

According to a release from the ICPD, officers responded at 10:43pm to the area of Hollywood Court and Hollywood Boulevard after receiving multiple 911 calls about shots being fired.

Upon arrival, police located multiple witnesses, corroborating at least three shots were fired. A light-colored sedan was reportedly seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed, heading westbound on Hollywood Boulevard right after the shots were fired.

No injuries were reported, and police have no description of the suspect.

Police are asking anyone in the area with security cameras to review their surveillance tapes and provide them if there is anything that could help in their active investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Police Department at 356-5275.
