Animal Services seeks assistance identifying dog’s owner following bite at IC park

Officials are looking for the owner of a dog that bit a person at an Iowa City park.

Iowa City Animal Services says it received notification of the incident on Monday. According to the information provided, the bite occurred at 3 p.m. last Thursday at Terry Trueblood Recreation Area. The victim was walking on the trail when a loose dog came out of the bushes, charged the victim, and bit them on the wrist. The dog is described as a German shepherd, with black and tan coloring. The dog was off-leash and not with an owner at the time of the incident.
