An area transient who refused to leave a Town and Campus apartment and locked the resident out when she called police has been arrested.
Police responded to the complex on Arthur Street Wednesday just before 10:00 am. 57-year-old Ladonna Shaw was in the victim’s apartment and refused to leave. The on-scene officer found that Shaw had locked the woman out of her own apartment after she contacted police, and reportedly refused to open the door for either of them.
Shaw allegedly continued to remain on the property and was non-compliant with instructions to leave until she was physically removed. She also reportedly refused to sign the Trespass citation given to her.
Shaw was taken into custody and charged with 1st offense Trespass.
Judge Brandon Schrock fined her $260 and released her on Thursday.
