An abscondee from Hope House is back behind bars after seven months at-large.

21-year-old Brent Robinson was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 8am Friday. The Iowa Department of Corrections says Robinson walked out of his room at the Coralville work release facility around 2:30am on October 11th. Robinson was seen carrying some personal belongings out to the smoking patio before running around the side of the building and continuing down the driveway towards Holiday Road. He did not return.

Robinson was convicted of 2nd Degree Robbery in Linn County in 2019. He was admitted to Hope House on August 11, 2022.

Robinson is charged with Escape of a Felon, a Class D Felony punishable by a maximum of five years in prison.
