Two people were killed in Cedar Rapids Thursday night during a shots fired incident on the northeast side.
Cedar Rapids Police say at 8:21 p.m. they received a 9-1-1 call about numerous gunshots being fired in the area of 3940 Sherman St NE. Responding officers located three adult males suffering from numerous gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Two of the subjects were found to be deceased from their injuries and a third subject was suffering from serious injuries and transported to a local hospital for medical care.
This incident is under investigation and the CRPD says no other information will be released at this time.
