An inmate at the Johnson County Jail is accused of assaulting another detainee.

According to arrest records, 46-year-old Robert Seals of the Lake Ridge manufactured housing community was arguing with another inmate just after 8:30 Wednesday night when he punched the other man, causing the victim to fall back into a wall and then to the ground. The other inmate had swelling and black-and-blue marks around his left eye.

Seals is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.

Seals is awaiting an April 22nd trial on various charges stemming from a November 2022 incident in which he and another person allegedly picked up a 13-year-old girl at a convenience store, provided her with drugs and alcohol, and forced her to have sex with them.
