Iowa City Police have arrested a man they say photographed a nude juvenile before sexually assaulting her.
58-year-old Martin Menjivar of the Modern Manor manufactured housing community was booked into the Johnson County Jail at 6:15 Tuesday night. Police say just before 3:00 Monday afternoon Menjivar went to a pre-arranged location and met a juvenile who knew him. He then allegedly took her to his vehicle parked on American Legion Road, placed her in the back seat, and got in behind her. He then reportedly proceeded to photograph the girl with her clothes off, then groped her.
Menjivar is now charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
