Four suspects are accused of attempting a “mass theft” from the Coralville Walmart Thursday night.

Coralville Police were called to the Commerce Drive retailer just before 9:30 for multiple subjects stealing carts full of merchandise. The suspects were located in the parking lot, with the stolen items in their vehicle. They include 19-year-old J’Niyah Ross, 18-year-old Christopher Wright, and 18-year-old Ja’Mesha Simpson…all of Waterloo…and 21-year-old Keionna Simpson of Cedar Rapids. Keionna Simpson allegedly ran to the nearby Raising Cane’s, where she was reportedly found hiding in a restroom.

The Walmart thefts were captured on security video. The four are now all charged with 3rd Degree Theft. If convicted, they each face a maximum of two years in jail. Keionna Simpson also faces an Interference With Official Acts charge.
