An Iowa City woman with a lengthy record of theft and attempted theft charges over the past three years was arrested again last week.
According to police, 42-year-old Porscha Curry of Beach View Drive was at the CVS store on Muscatine Avenue April 26th at approximately 5:50pm after previously being trespassed. She allegedly took property valued at under $750 from the store without making any attempt to pay for it.
On April 29th, police located Curry at the Eastside Hyvee on South 1st Avenue just before 8:30pm. A search of her purse allegedly turned up a green leafy substance resembling marijuana, and drug pipes with marijuana residue.
Curry was charged with Trespass and 3rd degree Theft for the incident on the 26th, and Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia for the incident on the 29th. If convicted on all counts, she could be sentenced to over three years in prison.
