Memorial Day may be the unofficial start to summer, but it is also the start to the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer,” which features a sharp increase in driving and traffic related fatalities.
According to the CDC, teens are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal collision during this time compared to the rest of the year.
Iowa is one of the five states with the highest distraction rate for teen drivers, ranked 4th by USAA’s SafePilot telematics.
