An Iowa City woman was charged after an alleged domestic assault on her boyfriend.
Police were called to the Crosspark Avenue residence of 21-year-old Amerika Dunbar on reports a domestic incident. Upon arrival, it was learned that Dunbar allegedly kicked her boyfriend in the testicles and ripped the dreadlocks from his hair. Dreadlocks were found on the ground where the victim had been trying to run away from Dunbar.
She was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing injury, a serious misdemeanor. A No-contact order was also requested.
