An Iowa City man faces jail time after allegedly borrowing a vehicle and failing to return it.
The victim states she agreed to loan her 2005 Buick to 41-year-old Kyle Wenning of Market Street on June 9th so that he could move furniture. Since then, Wenning has not returned the vehicle, made any attempt to contact her, or answered her repeated phone calls.
A warrant was issued on June 16th; Wenning was in court on Tuesday and faces charges of Operating Vehicle without Consent, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in jail if convicted.
He was released on his own recognizance pending arraignment.
