A Johnson County voter is among six statewide accused of casting a ballot despite not being a legal U.S. citizen.
The Iowa Attorney General’s Office says Emmanuel Gathua voted illegally in the November 2023 Johnson County election. The others reportedly voted in elections in 2022 and 2023. All six are now charged with election misconduct.
