A Cedar Rapids woman faces OWI and drug charges after an incident in Swisher Sunday night.

Deputies were on the 100 block of Howard Street just after 11pm investigating a call for service when 27-year-old Leann Hurley of D Avenue NE arrived on the scene in a 2014 Ford Focus.

She reportedly had bloodshot watery eyes and slurred speech.  Hurley allegedly admitted to drinking and using a THC pen before getting behind the wheel.  After exhibiting impairment on field sobriety tests, she submitted to a PBT showing her breath-alcohol level over the legal limit. A Datamaster test showed a .167 percent reading.

Deputies reportedly located a THC pen and an open Fireball shooter in the vehicle.

Hurley was charged with OWI second offense, marijuana possession, and an open container violation. She could be sentenced to up to three years in prison if convicted on all counts.
