One victim was airlifted to University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City after a deadly two-vehicle accident in Jackson County.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was northbound on Hurstville Road north of Maquoketa at 4:30 Friday afternoon when it crossed the centerline and struck a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder head-on.
One person was killed, and another was airlifted to UIHC on Hawkins Drive with undisclosed injuries.
The names have not yet been released pending notification of family.
