Former Hawkeye pitcher Ty Langenberg has been named the Midwest League’s Pitcher of the Week.
The Urbandale product pitched a complete game, seven-inning shutout with seven strikeouts in the Cedar Rapids Kernels’ 3-0 victory over the Quad City River Bandits in Game 1 of a doubleheader last Wednesday.
Langenberg is 4-5 this season with a 4.43 ERA.
