A Cedar Rapids man is accused of boating while intoxicated on Lake Macbride.

Few details about the arrest have been made available, but online records show 36-year-old Toman Grupee of 35th Street NE was taken into custody around 5:00 Sunday night at Angler’s Point.

Drunk boating arrests are rare on Lake Macbride, as the only motorboats allowed must be ten horsepower or lower. The official charge is listed as “Operating a Motorboat or Sailboat While Intoxicated”,meaning the charge also covers vessels without motors.
