ImpactLife is asking residents to set aside some time on Labor Day for blood donation.
The organization is reminding eligible blood donors that the weeks of late summer and back-to-school season can be especially challenging for the blood supply, with donations dropping by as much as 20%.
The ImpactLife Coralville and Cedar Rapids Donor Centers will be open from 7:30 a.m.. to 1 p.m. on Monday. Donors will receive $20 in bonus value to ImpactLife Donor Rewards and the opportunity to take part in the Big Ten’s We Give Blood Drive and receive a FREE T-shirt representing the University of Iowa.
