The City’s 6th annual Climate Fest is coming your way with six days of events Sept. 19 through 25, 2025! The annual event is a celebration of the many ways our community takes action to address climate change with a series of free, family-friendly events.
Festival favorites like the Drive Electric Car Show at the Iowa City Farmers Market on Sept. 20. are back, along with exciting new events, cohosts, and locations, including:
- The Pop-Up Pocket Park alongside City Hall on Van Buren Street on Sept. 19
- The Solar Art Show and tours of the solar array at the Iowa City Municipal Airport on Sept. 22
- The Read Aloud by the River event at the Lagoon Shelter House on Sept. 23
- The Resilience Hub Hang Out at the Iowa City Bike Library on Sept. 24
- A film screening at Dream City on Sept. 25
This year, there will also be a special gift for anyone who attends by riding a bike, walking, by bus, or by EV! Attendees can let a Climate Action and Outreach staff member know at any event if you walked, rolled, or rode there using one of these transportation modes to collect their gift.
