The Iowa City Education Association has released its endorsements for the upcoming school board election.
ICEA, which represents over 700 teachers in Iowa City Schools, has announced its endorsement of Jayne Finch, Ruthina Malone, and Dan Stevenson for the Iowa City Community School District’s Board of Directors.
Candidate Jennifer Horn-Frasier received an honorable mention recommendation from ICEA for the November 4th election.
The ICEA says the endorsed and honorable mention candidates consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the collaborative partnership between ICEA, administrative teams, and the school board. The ICEA adds the endorsed candidates also demonstrated a strong understanding of district policies and the roles and responsibilities of the school board, in addition to articulating a compelling vision for the continued success and growth of Iowa City Schools.
