A Shelter House resident who was charged with attempted burglary on October 20th has been charged with another burglary that occurred just two days later.
Police say 56-year-old Harold Blakey Sr. was charged with the attempted burglary and released on his own recognizance pending a December 8th arraignment. On October 22, he allegedly entered the maintenance shop at a residential apartment complex on the 500 block of South Riverside Drive at noon and left the property with several tool items from the shop. Surveillance video reportedly showed Blakey committing the act.
A warrant was issued November 7th. Blakey faces a new charge of 3rd degree Burglary. With the attempted burglary charge, he could be sentence to a combined seven years in prison.
