A Muscatine County man has been arrested for a reported assault at University of Iowa Health Care on Hawkins Drive.
UI Police say just before 7:30 on the night of June 30th, 23-year-old Ian Despeghel of Nichols ran up behind the victim unprovoked, grabbed him by the head and twisted it forcefully, causing pain. The incident was observed by witnesses and captured on security video.
Despeghel is now charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
