An inmate at the Johnson County Jail is accused of breaking a cell door.

Jailers say 46-year-old Marcus Turner of South Lucas Street had to be moved from his personal cell to a holding cell after causing issues just after 6:30 last Saturday morning. During the exchange, Turner allegedly forced his body into a door, overextending it and causing the door closer to break. The door is unable to be closed without a replacement part, which is estimated to cost over $300.

Turner is charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.

Turner is serving time for multiple parole violations.
