Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information regarding a dog bite incident.
On Friday, Animal Services was made aware of the incident, which occurred at 10 a.m. on New Year’s Day. The victim was turning the corner from Benton Street onto Sunset Street when they were bitten. The dog was described as black and white with a long coat and was being walked by an older white man wearing glasses.
Iowa City Animal Services is seeking information on the rabies vaccination status of the dog. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to contact Iowa City Animal Services directly at 319-356-5295 or the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-6800.
