A Coralville man was arrested early Monday after an alleged theft at an Iowa City convenience store.
According to police, 61-year-old Randolph McClaine of Holiday Road was at the Muscatine Avenue Maverik at around 4:45 am. While inside, he reportedly walked over to a table and grabbed the victim’s IPhone 16 Pro Max. He then walked out of the store with the phone.
McClaine was located and arrested. The phone, valued at $1500, was recovered.
He’s been charged with 2nd degree Theft and could be sentenced to up to five years in prison if convicted.
