An Iowa City man was arrested on a warrant stemming from a 2025 incident where he allegedly attacked his wife.
Court documents indicate the incident occurred the evening of November 17th at the Samoa Court residence of 42-year-old Adam Miefri. The couple were in their bedroom when an argument began. Miefri allegedly became angry and began striking the woman all over her body with a metal water bottle.
One of the alleged blows hit the woman in the lower lip, leaving a red mark.
Miefri reportedly left the residence with the victim’s phone and car keys. The couple’s juvenile child lives in the residence and witnessed the incident.
A warrant was issued November 25th, and Miefri remained at large until he was arrested on April 17th. He’s been charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury and Child Endangerment. If convicted on both counts, he faces a prison term of up to three years.
