Cedar Rapids Police are investigating an unattended death that was discovered Thursday.
At approximately 10:38am, Police and Fire were dispatched to an area near the 3500 block of Queen Dr SW following the discovery of a deceased individual. First responders arrived and located a deceased adult female in a slightly wooded area between residential and commercial properties.
At this time, efforts are underway to determine the deceased’s identity, and the investigation is being treated as an unattended death.
