An Iowa City man has been sentenced this week after he pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography.
The Department of Justice Southern District of Iowa in Davenport gave 28-year old Marcus Henry Benjamin 90 months, six years of supervised release and ordered him to comply with the sex offender registry rules.
The FBI found sexually explicit posts on a social media website in 2018. Their investigation led them to Benjamin’s residence. A search of the premises turned up a dozen devices containing over a thousand files of child porn.
Benjamin pleaded guilty to the charges in June.
