Johnson County voters now have the option to take a selfie at a specially-designed “selfie station” when they drop off their ballot in the drop boxes at the Johnson County Administration Building. The selfie station is located on the east side of the Administration Building, which is located at 913 S. Dubuque Street.

Johnson County Auditor Travis Weipert says some voters had been taking selfies at the drop boxes, tying up traffic and causing safety issues. The new selfie station will allow voters to take a picture with their ballot so that other voters can safely and quickly drop off their ballots.

Registered voters in Johnson County can drop off completed ballots for the Tuesday, Nov. 3rd General Election 24 hours a day, seven days a week in drop boxes located south of the Administration Building. The entrance to the two drop boxes is from the east side of the building and traffic is one way from east to west, exiting onto Clinton Street.
