One person was killed and two more injured overnight in a single-vehicle accident south of Anamosa.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2009 Ford Focus was driving northbound on the 9300 block of County Road X-40 just before 1am Friday when it entered the west ditch, rolled several times and hit farm equipment. Two of the three occupants were ejected from the vehicle. One was declared dead at the scene, and the others were transported to local hospitals via ambulance. Their conditions have not been released.
The names of the victims had not been released as of Friday morning.
