Cedar Rapids Police have charged a resident with murder in the homicides of two men on October 5th in the city.
According to a release from the Department, officers responded to the 3900 block of Sherman St NE where they located two 21-year-olds, Myron Snyder and Maurice Brown, both deceased. A third subject, 25-year-old Cameron Leonard, was found suffering from serious injuries. Leonard was hospitalized and later released. He was located by the U.S. Marshals Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force and booked at the Des Moines County Correctional Center Thursday on charges including:
Murder 1st Degree
Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon
Going Armed with Intent
Use of a Dangerous Weapon in the Commission of a Crime
Persons Ineligible to Carry Dangerous Weapons
In a connected arrest as part of the investigation, 40-year-old Pierre Morrow of Cedar Rapids was arrested on Thursday and booked at the Linn County Correctional Center on charges of Being a Felon in Possession of Firearm; Accessory After the Fact; and Obstructing Prosecution or Defense.
The investigation in this case continues and there is no further information available at this time.
