A University of Iowa student was allegedly found with a fake ID when stopped on suspicion of OWI.
19-year-old Gabriella Mann was stopped near the intersection of Gilbert and Jefferson streets at 2:11am Saturday due to her headlights not being on. Upon contact, she allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech, and the odor of alcohol on her breath.
Mann reportedly admitted to drinking, and failed preliminary field tests. She then consented to a PBT and Datamaster tests. Her BAC was measured at .138 percent.
One of Mann’s passengers gave one of the officers on scene Mann’s wallet. A fictitious Illinois license was allegedly found in plain view in the wallet, with her name and photograph, but a false date of birth.
Mann was charged with first offense OWI and Possession of a Fictitious License and could be sentenced to up to two years in jail if convicted on both counts.
