A motorcyclist was injured in a Friday night accident near Wellman.
First responders were called to a report of a motorcycle hitting a deer on Highway 22 near Cedar Avenue, between Wellman and Kinross, just before 8:00. Wellman first responders found the driver injured in the roadway. University of Iowa AirCare was initially summoned, but they were called off and the driver was instead transported to UI Health Care via ambulance. Their condition has not been released.
