A Coralville man was arrested last week after allegedly threatening to kill a woman and claiming to have ingested a dangerous amount of alcohol.
The evening of September 16th, 47-year-old Ryan Turner of Valley View Drive allegedly made the threat, which made the victim scared that he would arrive back at the residence and harm her.
Police were called, and Turner reportedly came out of the residence highly intoxicated. He allegedly had impaired balance, slurred speech, and the odor of ingested alcohol. Turner was arrested, and post-arrest PBT showed his breath-alcohol level at .120 percent.
A witness on scene reported that Turner told them he had drank six bottles of Smirnoff Vodka and sent a picture to them as proof.
Police say Turner had a hard time regulating his emotions during their interaction.
He was charged with 1st degree Harassment and Public Intoxication. If convicted on both counts, Turner could be sentenced to up to 25 months in jail.
