The University of Iowa Police Department suffered the loss of its phone system Thursday night.
A message posted to the UI Campus Safety website said that due to a phone service interruption, Campus Safety was unable to receive phone calls…including to its non-emergency line, 319-335-5022.
9-1-1 was not affected, and non-emergency callers were referred to 319-335-1990.
The interruption impacted elevator phones, area of rescue phones, and other lines that ring into Campus Safety.
An update will be provided when service has been restored.
