Multiple agencies respond to fire at Iowa City homeless camp

Multiple agencies responded to a Thursday night fire at an Iowa City homeless camp.

The Iowa City Fire Department was joined by firefighters from Hills and North Liberty in responding to the area of 101 McCollister Boulevard at 3:24 p.m. for a report of an outdoor fire.
Responding firefighters encountered a fire at an outdoor encampment. The fire appears to have originated from an unattended fire at the site.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and were on the scene until approximately 9 p.m. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
