A transient faces charges that he pulled a knife during an argument in an Iowa City parking lot.

Iowa City Police were called to Walmart on Highway 1 West just after 4:15 Tuesday afternoon after 37-year-old Chayanne Quiles reportedly displayed a knife as he walked up to a vehicle while arguing with the driver. The alleged victim claimed they were in fear of being stabbed or cut.

Quiles, who carries a New Jersey driver’s license, is charged with Assault While Displaying a Weapon. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
