An Iowa City woman was taken into custody Monday morning after an alleged fight with her sister.

According to the arrest report, 21-year-old Sha’Mia Ansley of South Dubuque Street  was a passenger in her sister’s  vehicle.  They got into a verbal argument and the sister told Ansley to get out of the car.  She refused due to the weather, and her sister started to call 911.  Ansley allegedly pushed her hand down and told her not to call 911 because it was not important.

The two sisters then reportedly started physically fighting. Both sustained injuries, minor cuts and brusing.

Ansley was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault and could be sentenced to up to a year in jail if found guilty.
