An Oxford man was taken into custody last week after allegedly striking his spouse and juvenile daughter.
Police say the incident occurred at the Center Street residence of 45-year-old Kenneth Roy at around 10pm Friday. According to the criminal complaint, he allegedly struck his daughter in the face, causing a black eye and leaving a mark. The girl made statements to police admitting to the incident.
Roy is also accused of committing domestic violence on his spouse. There was no report of injury caused by the alleged assault by the victim.
He was taken into custody and charged with Child Endangerment with Bodily Injury and Domestic Abuse Assault. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum jail sentence of five years and one month. A no-contact order was requested.
