North Liberty Police have made an arrest in a reported doxing incident.

According to arrest records, 45-year-old Shellie Everts began sending numerous harassing Facebook messages to a North Liberty resident last March. Everts, whose address is listed as “unknown”, allegedly posted an image of her and the alleged victim to a private group with 32,000 members. The post included the alleged victim’s name and place of employment.

When the man began receiving harassing messages, he went to show them to the police. When he unblocked Everts to show investigators her messages, she had allegedly deleted all of them.

But once unblocked, Everts reportedly began contacting the man again, messaging, “Bitch, I’m posting the rest” and calling the man a “bitch ass n—-“. She also allegedly made fun of one of the man’s sources of income.

Everts is charged with 3rd Degree Harassment. If convicted, she faces a maximum of 30 days in jail.
