The City of Iowa City is looking for a dedicated volunteer to join the Human Rights Commission and help shape a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone who calls the city home.
One seat is open to serve the remainder of an unexpired term that ends at the end of the year.
Commissioners educate the public about human rights; organize events and programs that bring people together; hold an annual awards ceremony recognizing youth, leaders, and businesses who make a positive impact; and make recommendations to City Council on the Human Rights Grant
The Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
