A Coralville man facing a divorce is accused of threatening to burn down his and his wife’s trailer.
36-year-old Andrew Mask was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 11:15 Friday morning. Coralville Police say on the night of January 27th Mask was in a verbal argument with his wife at the couple’s residence in the Western Hills Estates manufactured housing community when he allegedly threatened to kill her and burn down their home. Mask is also accused of texting the woman about 70 times within a few hours on the same night, then trying to call her about being served divorce papers.
Mask is charged with 1st Degree Harassment and 3rd Degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, he faces a maximum of 25 months in jail.
