A vegetation fire on the shores of Lake Macbride spread to a nearby structure Friday afternoon, leading to a multi-agency response.
The box alarm at 4025 Crest View Road NE, along the lake’s north shore, was first reported just before 1:30 p.m. The blaze reportedly spread to a nearby building. Solon firefighters were joined by crews from North Liberty, Swisher, Iowa City, Ely, and Mount Vernon, as well as the Johnson County Ambulance Service.
A request for more details from the Solon Fire Department went unanswered as of Saturday morning.
