North Liberty man arrested after found asleep on road

A North Liberty man was taken into custody after he allegedly had too much to drink and fell asleep in the road.
Arrest reports indicate that officers came upon 18 year-old Pacific Achiza of Alydar Drive Monday evening after 11:00 sleeping in the traveled portion of the road near Linniger Lane and Penn Court. They noted a strong odor of consumed alcohol coming from him, and he had slurred speech.
A PBT showed a blood alcohol content of .246, and he also was found with approximately five grams of marijuana.
Achiza was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. If convicted on the charges he could be sentenced to over a year in prison.
