Dropping bag of coke in store leads to North Liberty man’s arrest

A North Liberty man who was clumsy with his stash of drugs has been charged.

According to police, 31-year-old Julio Cesar Salcido Ayala was in the Pascha Parkway Walgreens on September 4th at approximately 8:50 pm when a bag of cocaine fell out of his pants as he walked out.

Salcido Ayala was identified by witnesses, who were shown the camera footage, and Salcido Ayala admitted that it was him when shown the same footage.

A warrant was issued for Salcido Ayala’s arrest, and he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance first offense, a serious misdemeanor punishable by a jail sentence of up to one year if convicted.
