A North Liberty man was taken into custody after being charged with his third domestic abuse  incident.

Police say 45-year-old Christopher Lang of Blue Sky Drive was in a vehicle with the woman at his residence when they became involved in a physical altercation. The woman alleges that Lang grabbed her by the arms while she was sitting on the passenger seat and attempted to drag her through the center console and the driver’s seat.

When the woman began resisting, Lang is accused of biting her on the thumb.

Police say the woman was covered in blood and had scrapes on her knees from when she says he dragged her.

The two have been in an intimate relationship for at least the past six years.

Lang was taken into custody and charged with his third domestic abuse count, which is a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted. A no-contact order was requested between the two parties involved.
