Raking the leaves of a protected party has led to a no-contact order violation against an Iowa City man.

Iowa City Police say an officer was on routine patrol on Taylor Drive just after 4:30 Saturday afternoon when he observed 35-year-old Lindsay Mitchell raking leaves outside a residence. The officer knew the owner of the house had a valid no-contact order against Mitchell, who lists his current address as Shelter House. After a few moments, the protected party came outside while Mitchell was still raking leaves. Mitchell was arrested and charged with a no-contact order violation.

Mitchell was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury last August after allegedly hitting the woman in the head with a stereo speaker.
