Due to recent repairs needed on the outdoor warning sirens located in the North Zone, the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency will test the sirens at 10:00 Wednesday morning.

The test will be isolated to the North Zone, which includes sirens in Solon, Swisher, Shueyville, Sutliff, along Lake Macbride and Coralville Lake, and other rural areas. It will not be a county-wide test.

Wednesday will feature a series of short tests, each lasting less than three minutes between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

In the event of threatening weather on Wednesday, tests will be postponed. The testing, once completed, will return to the normal schedule at 10 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning Oct. 1st.
