A fundraising campaign has been launched to help a University of Iowa student shot in the head during the April 19th mass shooting on the Iowa City Ped Mall.
Janjay Peters began the fundraiser on GoFundMe and says her younger sister Miranda was a bystander during a fight that broke out on the Ped Mall that night and suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Funds raised will go directly towards hospital bills, rehabilitation, aftercare, and the ongoing medical expenses that come with her traumatic injury.
